Sodding / Seeding
Take a closer look at your lawn. I bet you find thin spots,
weeds, mixed grasses, and plants that don’t belong. Not to mention
the ruts, pools, depressions and revealed tree roots caused by
unchecked erosion. Now step back and envision a smooth, lush sea of
rich green lawn surrounding your home. Associated Environmental
Landscape can make that vision come to life!
First, we’ll strip your old lawn of old vegetation. Next we’ll level
the surface, adding or removing bumps and water-retaining
depressions. Then we treat, fertilize and lay down seed or install
sod using the perfect variety for your soil, water and sun
conditions. In no time at all, your lawn will look ‘country club’
good.
Associated Environmental can take the guesswork out of renovating
your turf, and ensure that you start with a well graded, healthy
soil bed.

Turf Repairs
Bald spots in your lawn, burnt areas, or overgrown areas may not
require a complete renovation. Repairs to lawns can also provide
spot correction if your lawn is basically sound. Count on AEL to
counsel you on the right way to go, and to match or correct the
grass type used so the problem doesn’t come back.
Seed or Sod?
When installing a new lawn, the decision is whether to start with seed or to install sod. Sod will cost more than seeding a new lawn, but may provide a better long term value. Consider the following:
- Seed is best installed at specific calendar periods; sod can be installed nearly year-round
- Seeding requires several weeks to see results; sod is instantly beautiful and mature
- Sod requires less water to start, and requires minimal, if any, weed control
- Sod is ready to be walked on in two to three weeks; seed takes substantially longer
- Sod is generally the highest quality, certified plant stock
Your Associated Environmental Landscape designer can help you decide which is best for your situation.
